From fragile AI demo to a deployed product that actually finishes the job
The brief
Story Catcher's idea was clear: take a user's written memory and have an AI agent turn it into a finished narrative video. The early build proved the magic in demos. Production needed reliability, orchestration, and a path that didn't collapse under real stories.
The problem
Text-to-video is easy to demo and hard to ship. A one-shot generation call looks impressive in a sandbox, then fails on messy real input, partial failures, retries, and the boring product layer users need around the model.
The approach
We productized the pipeline: capture the journey, orchestrate the agent steps end to end, handle failure modes, and wrap it in a full-stack web app founders could put in front of users without babysitting every run.
Result
A working, deployed AI agent product, proof we take generative prototypes past the demo and into something that holds up when the prompt isn't perfect.
